I have worked within intervention and prevention work mainly in the field of youth work since I myself was a youth over 10 years ago. My experience is diverse delivering music programmes for young people on the periphery of gang entry, and performing arts students, as well as sound engineering for youth theatre production tours around the UK.
Merging my passion and skill in music, sound engineering and music production with youth work skills and mentoring I have worked with young people who others would deem as the hardest to reach. Working with young people is more than a passion that I have, it is also a skill that I have nurtured in order to motivate, mentor, and develop talent within the next generation. I have a deep understanding of youth culture, current music trends, and I use our shared love for music to engage them, utilising this platform for hard hitting mentoring, facilitating life lessons, all important learning and mostly making good quality music.
I deliver bespoke sessions based within studios in a workshop setting and also deliver solely sound engineering and music production sessions with young people.
Overall, young people I have worked with have lowered their rates of recidivism, increased in self confidence, personal development, and engaged with their peers with full commitment and positive outcomes.
